Why Support the New Amsterdam History Center
By joining the New Amsterdam History Center you will support our mission to serve the widest public possible by sharing and stimulating new interest in the early story of New York during its period of Dutch rule that is not widely known, and to show its continued influence through the 17th century and beyond. The unique community that New York City became and remains – as a commercial center, and diverse and adaptable society – can be traced back to this era of Dutch colonial rule.
